[Music] Fireboy DML – DEAR FATHER Ft. Judah Earl

Fireboy DML opens his 2026 project, ZUKO!, with "DEAR FATHER," a raw and vulnerable prayer that serves as the perfect introductory letter to his fifth studio album. Far from a standard high-energy intro, the song leans into a solemn, church-like atmosphere built on soft piano keys and swelling strings, masterfully arranged alongside collaborator Judah Earl and producer David Forlu.
Lyrically, Fireboy uses "DEAR FATHER" to lay bare his deepest anxieties, explicitly sending a letter of supplication to God before getting active on the rest of the project. The track addresses the heavy burden and fear of falling from grace or losing his footing at the peak of his career. By choosing to calm things down right at the gateway of the album, the Nigerian artist creates an immediate, intimate bond with listeners—grounding his artistic evolution in spirituality and genuine emotional honesty before diving into the project's broader, genre-bending soundscape.
