“Shamaya” is a captivating and deeply melodic collaboration from BNXN’s late-2026 EP, Still In CHARGE. Teaming up with rising talent FOLA, BNXN delivers another masterclass in smooth Afrobeats, blending lush vocal performances with highly infectious production by Jhay2unez and sb (NGA).
Lyrically, the song is a sweet, romantic offering. With catchy opening lines like "O dùn bi ofe-nsala" (It is sweet like Ofe Nsala / white soup), BNXN and FOLA use clever culinary and cultural metaphors to express deep affection and exclusivity. The chemistry between the two artists is seamless, with FOLA's input perfectly complementing BNXN's signature buttery-smooth vocal style.
Sitting beautifully within the Still In CHARGE tracklist, "Shamaya" provides a lush, feel-good moment that balances out the more high-energy and introspective tracks on the project, giving listeners a warm, laid-back groove to vibe to.
